Initial Consultation & Assessment

I meet with you and your child so that we can decide the best ways in which I can work with your child. We will discuss which services and approaches will work best with them.
I will also conduct an assessment with your child. From here, I will be building a customized plan for your child. This assessment is a brief, low-pressure activity that allows me to gain a lot of information about your child's reading while also allowing them to feel comfortable. You will not gain a huge amount of data for your use, but I will have so much information to help me formulate their individual goals and plan. Here, we focus on heart-centered data versus continual quests for data that do not matter as much as authentic learning experiences. Our time working together is much better spent on meeting your child's needs veruss constantly monitoring their progress. We will still have goals and skills to work on, but there are no grades or scores in this tutoring. This is another aspect that sets us apart from mainstream programs- we care about the whole child AND their progress!

Reading & Math Intervention Tutoring  

Do you want your child to improve their reading?  If so, I'm your girl! I began tutoring online back in 2015. I've found that I am typically able to close a student's reading gap much more quickly online one-on-one than I ever could in the public school classroom. Trends among my students show that they improve at least one full grade level within just 10-12 hours of tutoring. (Places like Sylvan normally charge $75/hour for "small group" instruction and claim to close the reading gap in 36 hours of tutoring. I generally guide students in closing the gap much more quickly, meaning you would pay way less with me in the long run. I specialize in a multi-sesnory approach, which can support students who need hands-on learning. Once I assess your child to identify strengths and weaknesses with each reading skill, we will get started on an individualized remediation plan.  I’m ready to help your child build his or her confidence as a star reader! Pricing is $399/Month for 1 weekly session and you may sign up for a free assessment. Lessons are 45-55 minutes depending on the lesson and child's attention span.
(For approximately a $1200-$2400 investment and 3-6 months of time , you can change your child's trajectory in school and life?! How cool?! That's why we charge what we charge. We don't charge for time or hours, we receive compensation for creating this level of positive impact. Most families keep their children tutoring for years because they see the results in enrichment/continual growth, while others join us for a season until they are fluent readers/ equipped mathematicians.)

Academic & ESL Tutoring with Our Qualified Tutors 

Personalized reading or math tutoring designed to strengthen skills, build confidence, and support academic growth. Students receive engaging, individualized instruction based on their current needs, with opportunities for guided practice, review, and skill-building in a supportive one-on-one setting. Academic Tutoring is separate from our Strategic Reading & Math Intervention Tutoring, which provides specialized, targeted intervention using special education and dyslexia-informed strategies. Academic Tutoring is provided by qualified educators on the Whole Child Learning Academy instructional team who use effective teaching strategies to reinforce skills, address learning gaps, support challenging concepts, and help students experience greater success in their everyday learning. Our Academic Tutors are experienced educators who also serve students through Whole Child Learning Academy programs. Students are thoughtfully matched with an educator based on their academic needs and learning goals. All educators working directly with students are appropriately screened and background-checked.  $270/ month for 1 weekly 45-55 minute session.

Small Group/Partner Tutoring

Small Group/Partner Tutoring uses many of the same individualized, evidence-based strategies as private tutoring, delivered in a fun and engaging small-group format. Students receive targeted instruction based on their needs while benefiting from peer interaction, collaboration, and encouragement. This option is structured at a lower price point to make high-quality academic support more accessible for families who need a more affordable solution. Families can expect strong results and meaningful skill growth at a more accessible rate than one-on-one tutoring. $199/month for typically 30-30 minute sessions- the format is subject to change with notice.

Homeschooling Assessments (Portfolio Reviews)

WV Homeschool Portfolio Assessments provide families with a simple, supportive way to meet annual assessment requirements. Portfolios are reviewed by Ashley Matheny, a certified teacher who looks at student progress across the school year and provides the documentation needed for your records. The process is designed to be straightforward, encouraging, and homeschool-friendly—without unnecessary stress or testing. $40/child.

Custom Tutoring, Coaching & Support

I also offer writing tutoring and support for students of all ages, including graduate and undergraduate levels. I also love building social skills, confidence, and self-esteem coaching into our tutoring sessions upon request.
